A lot of girls NEVER LEARNED THIS growing up.
Differentiating the types of hunger that you feel is one of the most important things you will ever learn about your body.
Read this, remember this, USE this!
I eat VERY often throughout the day, usually at least 5-6 times but my portions are smaller and I keep it as healthy as possible.
The difference is, when I eat it is because my body is telling me, “Brittany you are actually hungry, and your body is ready to eat.” Instead of telling me, “OMGosh Brittany, I know you’re not really hungry… but you have had SUCH an awful day today, lets go make everything better with a chocolate cake.”
I try my best not to let my emotions (happy OR sad) get intertwined with my eating mentality.
When I’m hungry, that’s when I eat.
When I’m sad- I figure out what’s causing that sadness and fix it. NOT by eating my problems away, not be starving my problems away, just by not involving food in the situation one way or another.
I think a lot of people are very emotional eaters and they don’t understand why they gain or loose weight when they’re stressed out.
Eat to live, do not live to eat!
Remember- Seperate your emotions from your eating habits. This will be an incredible lesson for you once you get in tune with your body and start to work as a team.

my views on vegan and vegetarianism

well, i’ve recently become a vegetarian, and I’m thinking of eventually becoming a vegan. I’d do it now but my parents don’t understand that you can still get the right amount of protein with out mistreating animals and giving up cheese is almost impossible for me. I really like being a vegetarian and i’m happy that for the most part my *dad* supports it.. my mom has been ok about it but whenever there’s meat on the table she always tries to force it on me.

on a side note— what I really don’t understand about vegetarians and vegans ,  some vegetarians and vegans is that they eat all this immitation meat, eggs, and other products. I understand soy milk, or almond milk, but i thought the whole point of becoming a vegetarian is to eat more fruits and vegetables.. hence the vege- in vegetarian. So, i really don’t understand why so much of peoples diets is the processed foods. there should be more of a whole foods, whole plants based diet. Get rid of the processed s***!
